Pretty simple concept and yet each and every day emergency responders are struck. This evening a tow operator from H&S Towing Service, Inc. was struck & killed becoming the 26th emergency responder struck & killed on United States roadways in 2020, less than 12 hours later, a tow operator from Interstate Towing and Transport Specialists Inc. was struck & killed becoming the 27th emergency responder struck & killed. In 2020, 11 police officers. 11 tow operators,  3 fire/ems workers and 2 SSP operators (safety service patrol) have been killed and countless of other emergency responders have been struck by vehicles while helping others.

44 emergency responders were struck & killed in the line of duty in 2019 while helping others, this incidents occurred in secondary accidents while the emergency responders where out helping others.

Each of these emergency responders thought they were going home at the end of their shifts, their families, their co-workers and their friends lives are forever changed by motorists failing to slow down, failing to move over or for driving drunk, drugged, drowsy,  distracted or just plain dumb.

You can save a life by just paying attention and just driving with caution,  no phones, no distractions

Please share this to help raise awareness,
